NFL’S Top Player Credits Chiropractic For Success

JERRY RICE, retired Hall of Fame wide receiver with the Super Bowl Champion San Francisco 49’ers whose career spanned twenty years, says chiropractic was very instrumental in the success of his lengthy career. Rice, who was a 13 time pro-bowler and a holder of numerous NFL records, was recently ranked #1 of the top 100 all-time professional football players ever to play the sport. This poll was determined by the NFL Network: a “blue-ribbon panel” of more than 100 experts including writers, historians, coaches and former players, which includes such Hall of Fame greats as WALTER PAYTON, DICK BUTKUS and RED GRANGE.

Rice said he noticed his low back stiffening up early in his career. Teammate ROGER CRAIG, a running back who had already been helped by chiropractic treatment, suggested he give it a try, and the rest is history. The all-pro wide receiver predicts he would have played five less years if he hadn’t been under regular chiropractic care. Since his retirement in 2006, Mr. Rice has also attained runner-up status in a “Dancing With The Stars” competition. See the complete article at www.ilchiro.org.

Natural Help for Colds & Flu

It’s that time of the year again in which the weather is colder causing people to be stuck inside breathing that same stale, heated air, and keeping them from being more active…the perfect recipe for respiratory infections such as a cold or flu.

Most people are familiar with the basic remedies: get plenty of rest, take Vitamin C, etc. They may even be familiar with Echinacea; likely the most “popular” herb to help the immune system. Let’s look at a few others solutions that may be less familiar.

Peppermint for Indigestion

At this time of the year candy canes can be seen hanging from a Christmas tree, decorating a package, and projecting from a person’s mouth as they return to the scene after a period of relative dormancy. That sweet, sharp flavor is a holiday favorite of many, but did you ever stop to think about the health benefits of peppermint, the herb from which these red and white striped J-shaped treats were originally derived? Actually the sugar and artificial flavors and colors negate most of the potential benefit from the synthetically-produced candy, but pure peppermint (mentha piperita) is truly beneficial to the human body.

Chiropractic for Dizziness

Dizziness is a common complaint of patients in any doctor’s office, and the chiropractic office is no exception. There are many potential causes of dizziness ranging from inner ear problems (very common) to tumors (extremely uncommon). One cause that is typically overlooked, particularly by medical practitioners, is misaligned spinal bones, and doctors of chiropractic possess the training and experience necessary to detect and correct these misalignments.
